There is a quiet confidence about Ganesha that has always drawn me to him. Not the grandeur, but the stillness.
In this painting, I wanted to strip away every unnecessary detail and let simple lines and blocks of colour do the storytelling. Inspired by the geometry of stained glass, the composition is built from intersecting shapes that slowly reveal the familiar form of Ganesha. The more you look, the more the image comes together. (Open-edition prints available)
